MAKASSAR - The South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office executed MiraHayati, a convict in a case of criminal offense of circulation of dangerous cosmetics, at his private residence in the Tamalanrea Housing, Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"Through this execution, we want to send a very clear message. Don't mess with the law and don't sacrifice public health for personal gain. We will pursue and we will act decisively," said Head of the South Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Didik Farkhan Alisyah in Makassar, Wednesday, February 18, reported by ANTARA.

The execution of the detention was carried out by the team of public prosecutors and the executioner prosecutor for Criminal Umumbersama with the Makassar District Attorney's Office team fully supported by the South Sulawesi Regional Intelligence Team. The execution was without resistance by the convict MiraHayati.

The action was carried out after the prosecutor's office received a copy of the complete verdict from the Makassar District Court.

The process of picking up the convict, known publicly as the owner of the MH Cosmetic brand, went smoothly, measured and transparent with the witness of the head of RT 01 and RW 7, Kapasa Raya Village.

This execution step is a follow-up to the Supreme Court's cassation decision No. 12016 K/PID.SUS/2025 dated December 19, 2025 which has the force of law.

With the issuance of the verdict, the executioner must immediately carry out the execution of the convict.

Based on the Supreme Court's ruling, the convicted Mira Hayati was proven to be legally and convincingly guilty of violating Article 435 of the Indonesian Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, related to the circulation of illegal skin care products containing mercury.

For his actions, the convict was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subject to 2 months in prison.

At the first level, the Makassar PN sentenced Mira Hayati to 10 months in prison. The prosecutor then appealed and PT Makassar increased the sentence to 4 years in prison.

Before being thrown into prison, the convicted MiraHayati was first secured and underwent a series of health examinations according to standard operating procedures.

After being declared healthy, the convict was immediately taken to the Makassar Class 1 A Penitentiary (Lapas) to serve his sentence.

"I have given very clear and firm instructions to the ranks of the Sulsel Attorney General's Office and Makassar District Attorney to immediately carry out the execution. There is no special treatment for anyone. The law must be enforced professionally," said the Kajati.

He explained that the execution was also a stern warning for all illegal cosmetic business actors, especially in the South Sulawesi region and its surroundings.

Previously, Mira Hayati was detained at her private home on the grounds that she was temporarily breastfeeding her baby during the legal process.

However, from several social media monitoring, it is reported that MiraHayatidikabarkanbebas has left her house and is active, so that public opinion arises that she has received special treatment from the prosecutor's office.
