According to him, the repair of the Taqwa Muhammadiyah Mosque which is located in Huta Godang Village, Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency, involves 10 members of the TNI and local people.
He said that improvements were being made so that residents or people who would pray Tarawih in the month of Ramadan this year could feel comfortable.
Akbar explained that the repairs were targeted to be completed before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr and could be used for Tarawih prayers even though it was not yet complete.
"For those inside, we are currently working on the damaged mosque porch," he said.
In addition to being repaired, officers also cleaned the main room of the mosque which will be used by Muhammadiyah residents for congregational Tarawih prayers.
A resident named Edi Tanjung said that this time the repair prioritized the suitability of the mosque for worship. Moreover, on Tuesday evening the mosque will be used for Tarawih prayers.
"This will be used for congregational Tarawih prayers, because later tonight residents will have carried it out," he said.
