Jemaah Masjid Nurullah Kalibata City Protes Dugaan Intervensi P3SRS saat Pemilihan Ketua DKM

Jemaah Masjid Nurullah at the Kalibata City Compound, South Jakarta, protested the alleged intervention of P3SRS Kalibata City in the selection process for the Chairman of the Nurullah Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM).

Representative of the Nurullah Mosque congregation, Herman, said that the committee for the election of the DKM Chairman had been formed legally based on Decree Number 18/DKMN/VI/2025.

However, he questioned the attitude of the P3SRS Kalibata City which was allegedly urging the cancellation of the committee's SK and ordering the postponement of the implementation of the election.

"The autonomy of religious organizations should be free from external pressures and interests," said Herman.

Herman also suspected that there was an attempt to unilaterally replace the Articles of Association and Articles of Association (AD/ART) of the Nurullah Mosque.

According to him, the replacement was carried out by Mohammad Mada Husein, who claimed to have received support from P3SRS, to legitimize his position as the elected Chairman of the DKM Nurullah.

In line with this, the Secretary of the DKM of the Nurullah Kalibata City Mosque, Doni Suryantoro, emphasized that if it is true that the AD/ART has been replaced without a valid mechanism, then the action has the potential to violate the principles of organizational law and the principle of legality.

In the perspective of civil law, Doni explained that the AD/ART is an agreement that binds all members of the organization.

This is as regulated in Article 1338 paragraph (1) of the Civil Code, which states that every legally made agreement is valid as a law for the parties who make it.

"Unilateral changes to the AD/ART without a valid procedure can be qualified as an unlawful act," he said.

He added, if it is true that the appointment of Mohammad Mada Husein as the Chairman of the DKM of the Nurullah Mosque was carried out on August 2, 2025, then the process should be suspected of being procedurally flawed and potentially having legal consequences.

In its statement, the Nurullah Mosque congregation conveyed three main demands.

First, the democratic process in religious organizations must not be hijacked by power interests.

Second, the AD/ART is the spirit and constitution of the organization, not just an administrative document.

Third, any form of external intervention in the electoral process that has been running legally is considered a bad precedent for organizational governance and the rule of law.

In addition, the congregation also conveyed a number of demands, including the implementation of an independent audit of the selection process for the Chairman of the DKM of the Nurullah Mosque, the restoration of all stages of the organization in accordance with the valid AD/ART, and the enforcement of the principles of legality, transparency, and accountability.

The congregation also asked that this issue be given serious attention by the Indonesian Mosque Council to prevent potential harm and wider conflicts.

They also urged an independent audit of the finances of the Nurullah Mosque, following allegations of embezzlement and misuse of mosque funds.
