Drug Dealer Arrested in Pangkalpinang Narcotics Prison, Sabu and Ecstasy Seized

PANGKALPINANG - The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Pangkalpinang Police, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, secured Dodi Andika alias Pipik (42) who was suspected of distributing methamphetamine and ecstasy pills at the Pangkalpinang Narcotics Prison.

"Currently, the suspect and evidence in the form of 7.2 grams of methamphetamine, four ecstasy pills, and other evidence have been secured for further examination," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pangkalpinang Police, AKP Yandri C Akip, in Pangkalpinang, Antara, Friday, February 13.

Yandri explained that the arrest was made on Wednesday, February 11 at around 15.00 WIB. Dodi Andika was arrested as a perpetrator of a narcotics crime of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills or inex, after being handed over by the Pangkalpinang City Class II A Narcotics Prison to investigators.

After the arrest at the first location, investigators continued to develop to the suspect's workplace in Kampung Melayu, Bukit Merapin Village, Pangkalpinang City.

"At the time of arrest at the Pangkalpinang Narcotics Prison, the team secured evidence of six packages of Class I narcotics, not a type of plant, which was wrapped in small strip plastic," he said.

In addition, the police also confiscated four pieces of Schedule I narcotics in the form of ecstasy wrapped in a medium-sized clear strip plastic, one large plastic, seven pieces of black plastic straws, one unit of a white Honda Genio motorcycle with blue license plate BN 4005 AA, and one unit of a Samsung brand mobile phone.

Meanwhile, at the second crime scene, namely the suspect's workplace in Kampung Melayu, Bukit Merapin Village, the police secured one bong of methamphetamine, two pirex, and one black Samsung Galaxy tablet.

"For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, sub-article 609 paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustment," said Yandri.
