TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) has uncovered a case of smuggling 55 ballpress containing used clothes imported illegally which are suspected of entering through the border from Malaysia.

Wakapolda Kaltara Brigjen Andries Hermanto said that this disclosure was the result of the work of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) through the investigators of Subdit I/Indagsi.

"From this operation, officers secured 55 imported used clothing ballpress as evidence. The investigation is still ongoing to trace the network and other parties suspected of being involved," said Brigadier General Andries, Wednesday, February 11.

He emphasized that smuggling imported used clothes was not merely an administrative violation, but a crime that had a wide impact on society and the country.
