Motorcyclist, Beat Driver and Kernet After Overtaking a Parking Car

JAKARTA - A box car driver with the initials RN (29) and his kernet with the initials TH became victims of persecution on Jalan Kalianyar VII, RT 06/06, Kalianyar Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta.

Tambora Police Chief AKP Wahyu Hidayat confirmed the incident of abuse. The incident began when the victim unloaded the goods and was about to return to the Jelambar area.

When the victim directed the vehicle which was being reversed by the witness, suddenly a motorcycle rider with the initials YP (25) broke through.

Spontaneously the victim uttered harsh words, which then triggered the perpetrator's emotions.

"The perpetrator got off the motorcycle and immediately hit the victim until he was injured," said AKP Wahyu when confirmed, Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The action of persecution against the box car driver was then dragged by the kernet. However, the perpetrator actually got even more panicked until he hit the kernet of the car again.

"The victim suffered injuries to the upper and lower lips. Meanwhile, the kernet suffered injuries to the nose and lower lip," he said.

Due to this incident, the victim reported to the Tambora Police. Meanwhile, the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which received the report, immediately searched for the perpetrator.

"We have managed to secure the perpetrator. The perpetrator was charged with Article 466 of the Criminal Code regarding abuse," he said.
