Expert Witness to be Examined Regarding Mens Rea Pandji Pragiwaksono

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya will soon conduct an examination of experts related to the case that dragged comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono who had previously been examined on Friday, February 6, 2026.

"The next step, investigators will conduct expert examinations," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, Monday.

After all the series of fact-finding is considered sufficient, he said, investigators will conduct a case title.

"To assess whether the event meets the elements of a crime and can be upgraded to the investigation stage or not," said Budi.

However, he has not been able to describe in detail the identity of the experts and the time of the examination.

He only mentioned that up to now, a total of 27 people have been examined, including the reporter, witnesses, and the reported.

Previously, Pandji Pragiwaksono had been examined by the Polda Metro Jaya, with a total of 63 questions asked.

"It started at around 10.30 am. There were 63 questions, just finished," said Pandji's lawyer, Haris Azhar when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta.

He said the questions asked by the Polda Metro Jaya related to personal data and the implementation of activities. In addition, a number of video clips were also shown containing Panji's statements in the "Mens Rea" performance.

Pandji was also asked about prayer, about two organizations that received mining concessions and about the incident in West Java.

"But if you go back to the report, the report is only about blasphemy," said Haris.

Meanwhile, Pandji admitted that he had tried to answer the questions as best he could.

"I am in a position where I do not feel that I am committing blasphemy. So, the process went quite smoothly, the questions were answered, and yes, we just follow the process," said Pandji.
