JAKARTA - Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police said that the death of a mother and two children in Warakas, North Jakarta, was due to poisoning by the victim's son with the initials S.

"The motive of the perpetrator is revenge against his family, because he feels treated differently and often scolded by his mother," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar, Friday, February 6, 2026.

The three victims are known as SS (50) mother, AF (27) child and AD (14) child. Meanwhile, the perpetrator with the initials S, is the biological child of the victim SS.

"S is a suspect because he deliberately poisoned the three victims," he said.

The Head of the Police explained that the perpetrator bought the toxic substance from a place.

"The perpetrator, initials S, bought the substance at a stall, then he went back to his house and mixed the substance in a pot where the tea was already boiling. Then this broth was put back into a cup," he said.

Then the toxic liquid was put into the mouths of the three victims. From the perpetrator's confession, continued the Head of Police, the perpetrator S first made his mother and two older brothers and sisters unconscious.

"That the perpetrator has indeed planned and this is all the result of the suspect's BAP and has admitted it," he said.
