KPK Calls for the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, in Connection with Alleged Corruption in the Procurement of Office Equipment

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar as a witness today, February 5. He will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of goods for the DPR member's official residence in the 2020 fiscal year (TA) which ensnared him.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building," KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters in a written statement, Thursday, February 5.

Until this news was aired, Budi said Indra Iskandar had not met the summons of investigators.

Indra Iskandar is known to have filed a pretrial to the South Jakarta District Court (PN) on Thursday, January 22. The lawsuit was registered with case number 7/Pid.Pra/2026/PN.JKT.SEL and its classification is related to the legality or illegality of the determination of the suspect.

Indra Iskandar has been a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of office equipment for members of the DPR for the 2020 fiscal year since January 19, 2024.

Furthermore, Indra Iskandar was examined as a witness twice, namely on Thursday, March 14, 2024, and Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He also missed when he was called on Friday, October 24, 2025, with the excuse that there was another scheduled agenda.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating alleged corruption in the DPR General Secretariat regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture for the residence of members of parliament. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

The modus operandi in this case is a violation of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflation or mark-up. The official residence whose filling was corrupted is located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.

In this case, a request to prevent going abroad has also been made for seven people. Those who are not allowed to travel are the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar; Head of the House of Representatives Management Section of the DPR RI period 2019-2022, Hiphi Hidupati; Director of PT Daya Indah Dinamika, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.
