PPATK to Build Early Detection of MBG Program

JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) stated that it would also monitor and build an early detection system for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to support good governance.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana, in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR regarding the evaluation of PPATK's performance in the 2025 fiscal year and PPATK's work plan for the 2026 fiscal year.

Ivan initially explained that PPATK had a budget ceiling for 2025 of Rp. 400 billion. From the budget ceiling, Rp. 19.8 billion was blocked in the name of efficiency, so that the available ceiling was Rp. 380.2 billion.

The available budget ceiling is intended to support eight national priority programs with a budget realization of Rp. 376.8 billion or 99.1 percent of the available budget ceiling.

"And the achievement of IKU PPATK in aggregate reached 109 percent," said Ivan at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 3.

Ivan also explained the acceptance of PPATK reports and analysis. He revealed that, as the focal point of the anti-money laundering regime and the prevention of terrorism financing and financing of weapons of mass destruction proliferation or APU PPT PPSPM in Indonesia, PPATK has received 43 million reports from reporting parties, an increase of 22.5 percent compared to 2024 which amounted to 35.6 million reports.

"So currently PPATK receives 21,861 reports per hour on weekdays. That is an increase compared to 2024 which was only 17,825 reports per hour. Now it is 21,861 reports," he said.

In addition, Ivan said, PPATK had submitted 994 results of analysis, 17 results of examination, and 529 information to investigators and related ministries with a total turnover of funds analyzed reaching Rp. 2,085 trillion, or an increase of 42 percent from 2024 of Rp. 1,459.6 trillion.

"HA and HP and PPATK information not only play a role in preventing and eradicating money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, but also contribute to state revenue from the taxation sector," he said.

Then, continued Ivan, in the context of the global PPT PPSPM APU regime, PPATK together with relevant ministries and agencies succeeded in strengthening its position through increasing Indonesia's compliance and effectiveness with the FATF recommendations. In particular, the FATF recommendation 7 related to Targeted Financial Sanctions Related to Proliferation which was initially partially compliant became largely compliant.

"So the further away the better. In addition, the strengthening of international cooperation with other countries' financial intelligence agencies continues to be improved through the signing of memorandums of understanding, the implementation of joint analysis, the exchange of 181 information related to business email compromise, romance scams, investment scams that are currently rampant in Indonesia and the tracing of the results of criminal assets and in the last 2 years have facilitated 18 requests for quick rescue mechanisms through Interpol I-GRIP," he explained.

Meanwhile, in the context of the Indonesian PPT PPSPM APU regime, PPATK is also active in delivering recommendations on various issues, including accelerating follow-up results of analysis related to online gambling. According to Ivan, 2025 is a new history and the first time Indonesia has managed to suppress transactions related to online gambling.

Ivan added that PPATK also carried out early detection of potential risks by conducting an analysis of the pattern of incoming or incoming transfers and outgoing or outgoing transfers in Indonesia.
