Fueled by Revenge, Angkot Driver Tega Stabbed His Fellow Driver to Critical Condition

JAKARTA - A young man with the initials B was found critically after being stabbed by an assailant with the initials RP at the Kaget Market, the Melayu Dam area, Jalan Raya Plumpang, Semper, Koja, North Jakarta. The motive for the stabbing was a background of a grudge between B and RP.

The head of the Koja Police, Kompol Andry Suharto, said that the victim, initials B, and the perpetrator, initials RP, were fellow Angkot drivers. The incident began when the perpetrator, a resident of Cilincing, North Jakarta, stopped in front of the Angkot car carried by the victim.

"The perpetrator approached the victim, then the perpetrator directed the folding knife towards the victim," said Kompol Andry when confirmed, Monday, February 02, 2026.

Although the victim was able to fend off the stabbing of the perpetrator's knife, the perpetrator again directed the knife to the victim's thigh.

"The knife was directed by the perpetrator to the victim's thigh. The victim found one stab wound on the left thigh and three stab wounds on the back of the left thigh," he said.

After stabbing the victim, the perpetrator was successfully secured by residents around the location until he was finally handed over to the Koja Police.

"The evidence seized was a folding knife. Currently, the perpetrator is still being examined by investigators," he said.
