PSI Sets Target of 10 Million KTA Results of the I National Congress in Makassar

MAKASSAR - The closure of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) I of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) produced a number of strategic decisions, one of which targeted 10 million Member Identification Cards (KTA) as an initial step to strengthen the party's elephant-based party.

"This congress we have made several decisions. PSI targets 10 million KTA. Starting now, PSI cadres must work, both at the branch level and at the Central DPP," said Chairman of the Daily DPP PSI Ahmad Ali at the plenary meeting closing the Congress at the Claro Makassar Hotel, South Sulawesi, launching ANTARA, Saturday, January 31.

He explained that the target was immediately translated by cadres in real work, starting from the lowest branch level to the level of regional leadership councils and central leadership, in accordance with the instructions of the General Chairman of the PSI Kaesang Pangarep in the national conference.

"For those who want to be Caleg (legislative candidate) or do not want to be Caleg, at least recruit 500 members to be KTA. We have to work from now on," he said emphasizing the results of the ruling.

After the results of this National Congress were decided, PSI also expressed its commitment to supporting and monitoring the strategic programs of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. One of them, the government's strategic program, Free Nutritious Meals (MBG).

"We provide full support for the government's strategic programs, especially MBG. I ask the DPW managers to the bottom to actively participate in monitoring and working together to build MBG," he said again.

In addition, the arrival of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), as a role model for PSI to provide new energy and encouragement to cadres in raising the party, including from Jokowi's supporters, to immediately join the party.

Previously, Jokowi attended the PSI National Congress to provide guidance, encouragement, and motivation to hundreds of cadres who came from various regions in Indonesia.

"We need a big machine, because PSI has big targets. So, it can't just be in the DPD. So, the structure must be from the village level because political power lies in a strong structure, a living structure, really working from the grassroots," he explained.

The former Governor of DKI Jakarta emphasized that he was ready to get off the mountain to help raise the party and agreed to introduce the party to the regions.

"If necessary, I have to come, I am still able, I am still able to come to the provinces. I am still able to come to districts and cities, if necessary to the sub-districts, I am able," said the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, who is also a former Governor of DKI Jakarta and former Mayor of Solo.
