Ace said that Lemhannas is currently still conducting in-depth studies regarding the possibility of returning the mechanism for the election of regional heads to the DPRD. He targeted that the results of the study could be completed before the upcoming elections.

He added that Lemhannas would study the effectiveness of the system of direct election of regional heads by the community which has been running for more than two decades.

Ace emphasized that any changes to the regional head election system must be based on careful, thorough, and national interest-oriented considerations as well as public service quality.
