Two Bandar Sabu and Happy Five were arrested by the Metro Jaya Police from Tangerang

JAKARTA - The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police revealed a case of narcotics distribution with a total amount of evidence of 27.168 kilograms of methamphetamine and 5,000 pieces of Happy Five (H5) psychotropic drugs in Tangerang City, Banten.

Deputy Head of Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Parikhesit said, there were two male suspects with initials D (36) and S (45).

The disclosure of the case began with a report on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Tanah Tinggi, Tangerang City.

"Following up on the report, the team of Subdit 2 Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya conducted an investigation which led to the first crime scene in front of SDN 6 Tangerang, Jalan Nyimas Melati, Tangerang District," said Parikhesit, ANTARA, Tuesday.

At the location, he continued, at around 13.45 WIB, officers secured the suspect D who was inside a car.

"From the results of the search of the vehicle, the police found a number of packages of methamphetamine in Chinese tea packaging and Happy Five psychotropic drugs," he said.

The total evidence seized from suspect D, includes 4 large packages and packages that have been broken into methamphetamine, 5,000 Happy Five, accompanied by an electric scale, notebooks and several mobile phones.

From the results of the analysis of evidence from suspect D, the Police then conducted an expansion to the second crime scene (TKP). Namely a house on Jalan Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jurumudi Lama Village, Benda District, Tangerang City, around 15.00 WIB.

At the second location, officers arrested another suspect with the initials S. During the search of the room, the police found 20 bags of methamphetamine in a suitcase, which were all packaged using Guanyinwang brand Chinese tea.

"In addition, equipment was also found that was allegedly used to break and repack narcotics," he said.

"It is estimated to be worth Rp. 41.7 billion and has saved around 140 thousand people from the threat of danger," he said.

Currently, all the evidence and the two suspects have been taken to the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters for further examination.
