Head of the Bandung SAR Office Ade Dian said on the fourth day of the search, the joint SAR team found eight bags of bodies which were then handed over to the West Java Police Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team for identification.

"Today, the fourth day, we found eight body packs. Until 18.30 WIB, the total findings since the first day reached 48 body packs that have been handed over to the DVI Team," said Ade as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 27.

Based on data updates from the disaster handling officer, the number of people affected by the landslide increased to 155 people, with 75 people reported safe and 80 people reported missing since the incident occurred.

From the total number of missing people, Ade continued, 48 people have been found by the joint SAR Team, so there are still 33 people who are still in the search process.

"For today, our search is temporarily stopped and will be resumed," he said.

Ade explained that the search operation was hampered by moderate rain that had been pouring over Cisarua and its surroundings since morning.

In addition, the joint SAR team also expanded the search area by shifting some personnel from sector A2 to sector B2 after field evaluation showed the potential for the presence of victims in the area.

"Today we started at 07.30 WIB in the rain until noon. Thank God, the afternoon was sunny so we could find eight body packs," said Ade.

He added that the search operation would continue for the next 14 days in accordance with the decision to determine the emergency disaster response status.

"In accordance with the government's decision regarding the emergency response to disasters, the SAR operation is planned to continue for the next 14 days and will be evaluated on the seventh day," said Ade.
