He also explained that the initial action was a form of rapid response to public reports who were concerned about the alleged circulation of harmful food in their neighborhoods.

According to him, as officers in the field who received the information, his party immediately went to the scene and checked the truth of the information.

Their presence, said Ikhwan, is a form of responsibility for the police in maintaining the safety of residents who are starting to be restless.

"Our intention is solely to educate, so that no consumers are harmed and ensure that people feel safe buying food in their environment. In this situation, we are just trying to carry out our duties quickly to prevent potential dangers," he said.

Previously, the Central Jakarta Metro Police ensured that the cork ice that has recently gone viral on social media is safe, suitable for consumption and does not contain harmful materials such as polyurethane foam (PU Foam) or mattress foam material or washing sponge.

"The Dokkes team has conducted a thorough examination and the results show that the product is safe to consume or does not contain harmful substances," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jakarta Central Metro Police AKBP Roby Heri Saputra in Jakarta.

This certainty was obtained after the Food Safety Team of the Police Medical (Dokpol) of the Metro Jaya Police examined all samples of ice cream, ice gabus, agar-agar and chocolate meses from traders.

This examination was carried out because there was a report on Saturday (24/1) that suspected the food was made from polyurethane foam (PU Foam) or mattress foam material or washing sponge, which is dangerous to consume.
