Floods Still Affecting 143 Neighborhoods and 16 Roads in Jakarta This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded 143 RT in Jakarta and 16 roads were still flooded due to heavy rain pouring over Jakarta since Thursday, January 22.

"Heavy rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area on January 22, 2026 caused several puddles in the DKI Jakarta area. At 12.00 WIB, BPBD recorded that there are currently 143 RT and 16 roads flooded," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data Center M. Yohan in his statement, Friday, January 23.

The height of the water on the flooded road varies, ranging from 15 centimeters to 1.2 meters. Not only due to rain, flooding in some areas is also caused by the overflow of Kali Angke, Kali Pesanggrahan, Kali Krukut, Kali Mampang, to the PHB channel.

The following are the details of the flood that hit 143 RT:

1. West Jakarta (40 RT), consisting of: - Duri Kosambi Village: 5 RT Height: 50-120 cm Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Angke River

- Kapuk Village: 3 RT Height: 50-65 cm Cause: High rainfall

- Kedaung Kali Angke Village: 8 RT Height: 80 cm Cause: High rainfall

- Rawa Buaya Village: 7 RT Height: 45-120 cm Cause: High rainfall

- Kedoya South Village: 4 RT Height: 75 cm Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Pesanggrahan River

- Kedoya Utara Village: 7 RT Height: 15-80 cm Cause: High rainfall

- Sukabumi Utara Village: 1 RT Height: 60 cm Cause: High rainfall

- Kembangan South Village: 1 RT Height: 35 cm Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Pesanggrahan River

- Kembangan North Village: 2 RT Height: 70 cm Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Angke River

- Meruya South Village: 1 RT Height: 60 cm Cause: High rainfall

4. North Jakarta (2 RT), consisting of: Kapuk Muara Village: 2 RT Height: 40 cm Cause: High rainfall

A number of residents affected by the flood are currently displaced in several locations in Jakarta. In West Jakarta, the displacement is spread across Kedaung Kali Angke Village, specifically at the Jami Al Khaeer Mosque, which accommodates 11 families or 28 people. In addition, residents of South Bamboo City Village are displaced in the KS Tubun Rusunawa Hall with a number of displaced people of 20 families or 65 people.

Meanwhile, in Central Jakarta, the evacuation is concentrated in the Karet Tengsin Village, namely in the RPTRA Segas RW 06 with 60 people, the RPTRA Intiland RW 07 with 19 people, the Muhajirin Mosque Hall RW 07 which accommodates 56 people, the Nusantara PAUD RW 07 with 78 people, and the RW 02 Post with a total of 12 people.

Meanwhile, in East Jakarta, residents of Cipinang Melayu Village took refuge at the Al Muqorrobin Mosque with the number of refugees reaching 18 families or 69 people.

Currently, the BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor the condition of the puddles in each area and coordinate the elements of the Water Resources Agency, the Road Construction Agency, the Gulkarmat Agency to carry out the suction of puddles and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local sub-district heads and sub-district heads as well as prepare basic needs for survivors.

"The puddles are targeted to recede quickly. BPBD DKI appeals to the public to remain cautious and alert to the potential of puddles," he said.
