Due to Flooding, Traffic Jams on Daan Mogot Spread from Samsat to Flyover Pesing

JAKARTA - The flood that submerged the Jalan Daan Mogot section, West Jakarta until Thursday night caused a long traffic jam for vehicles passing through the area.

The rain that had subsided and returned to pour heavily on Thursday afternoon, so that the flood that had not yet subsided increased in height on Thursday night.

Traffic jams are inevitable, including in the Taman Kota area, Cengkareng.

Drivers who were traveling from Grogol to Cengkareng even had to go against the current to avoid deep puddles.

The vehicles use the lane that should be reserved for vehicles from Cengkareng to Grogol, so that the traffic situation is more chaotic.

The queue of vehicles also extends from the Samsat area to the Pesing flyover, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

It is known that the water puddle in the Taman Kota area, Cengkareng reached a height of about 40 centimeters (cm).

This condition makes drivers avoid the middle and left lanes of the road because of the high puddles. As a result, drivers are forced to use the right lane which has a higher elevation than the other lanes.

Until this news was released, traffic jams were still occurring and had not shown signs of breaking up.
