JAKARTA - The police said that the woman who was found dead with her body lying on the beach of Pandanan, North Lombok Regency (Lotara), West Nusa Tenggara, was revealed to have bipolar disorder.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Lombok Police, Iptu I Komang Wilandra, said that the psychological disorder was revealed from the results of field investigations.

"So, it's true that this victim has a vehicle left on the side of the road in Malaka Village. From the medical record, it is stated that this victim tends to lead to depression or high-type bipolar," he said as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 21.

Wilandra said this was based on the explanation of the doctor. The victim's family also conveyed that the victim with the initials SH from Malang with domicile in Gunungsari District, West Lombok Regency, had several times tried to commit suicide.

"His family said he often wanted to end his life. He was sick when he was still in Java, he had been treated at Sutomo Hospital," he said.

Therefore, the family who had recognized the deceased refused to autopsi.

"The family received that the person concerned was sick," said Wilandra.

Based on the results of the external autopsy, the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital also said that there were no signs of violence on the deceased's body.

Regarding the information that the victim's left arm was said to be missing, Wilandra clarified that the hospital had explained that only the meat was missing and the bones were left.

"This is a body that has been at sea for five days since it was lost. So, there are many factors, one of which is the fish that eats it," he said.

By explaining this, Wilandra emphasized that this investigation has been completed and no criminal allegations were found from the death of SH.

"So, there is no lead to a criminal act or event. Case closed," he said.

SH's body was first found lying on the Pandanan beach on Sunday (18/1). SH's body was found without clothes, only wearing socks.

Before being found, residents saw a jacket and a two-wheeled vehicle that was eventually revealed to belong to the deceased parked on the side of the Malaka Village road.

The findings became a clue for the police to investigate the identity and cause of death of the late SH.
