NTB DPRD Member Becomes Suspect in Dompu Land Document Falsification Not Detained

JAKARTA - The police have named a member of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Representative Council (DPRD), Efan Limantika, as a suspect in a case of alleged forgery of documents and embezzlement of land rights in Dompu Regency.

"Yes, the person concerned, Efan is a suspect," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the Dompu Police, Iptu I Nyoman Suardika, via telephone in Mataram, Wednesday, quoted by Antara.

He revealed that the determination of Efan as a suspect was carried out at the investigation stage. However, the step of detention has not been carried out by investigators.

Regarding the suspected criminal charge applied, he admitted that he had not received clear details from investigators.

"There is no complete information about the alleged article," said Nyoman Suardika.

Based on the determination, he said that investigators had sent a summons to Efan in his capacity as a suspect.

"So, there has been a summons, there has been no absenteeism. Maybe tomorrow the examination will be," he said.

The case that reported Efan Limantika for alleged forgery of documents and embezzlement of land rights began in 2011. The reporter at that time bought a land belonging to residents in So Nangadoro, Hu'u Village, Hu'u District, Dompu Regency.

The transaction was carried out legally with proof of payment receipt. Based on the existence of land sales with a Certificate of Ownership Number 417 in the name of MS, the official report was officially controlled by the initials MA.

However, in 2013-2014, the reporter, before becoming a member of the NTB DPRD, began to approach the reporter by helping to maintain the reporter's assets.

Because of the principle of trust, the reporter submitted a number of documents of purchase receipts for the land to the reporter.

This trust was then allegedly deliberately used by the reported to abuse the purchase receipt document for the land.

For the reported acts, the reporter filed a report to the Dompu Police according to letter number: LP/B/37/II/2025/SPKT/Polres Dompu/Polda NTB, dated February 12, 2025.
