Pati Regent Sudewo and 3 Other People Reportedly Become KPK Suspects After Being Caught in OTT

Pati - Pati Regent Sudewa alias Sudewo is reported to have been named a suspect along with three others by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) after being caught in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Monday, January 19.

Based on the information obtained, the decision to make Sudewo and three other people suspects was taken by the leadership and related structural officials through an expose forum or a title of the case. This activity was carried out on Monday evening, January 19.

"There are four suspects including the regent," said the VOI source, Tuesday, January 20.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo has not detailed the parties who have been named as suspects. He only said the expose forum had determined the legal status of Sudewo and seven others.

"Later we will convey the legal status of the parties who were secured and brought to the Red and White building of the KPK," Budi told reporters at the Red and White building of the KPK, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

The OTT was held because it was suspected that money was received in connection with the filling of village apparatus positions. A number of parties were allegedly asked to pay tribute so that they could occupy the position of Head of Affairs (Kaur) to the Village Secretary (Sekdes).

As previously reported, Pati Regent Sudewa alias Sudewo chose not to make any statement when he arrived at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, January 20. He was silent when asked about the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that caught him.

From field observation, Sudewo arrived at the anti-corruption commission's office at around 10.34 WIB after traveling by commercial plane at 08.00 WIB. He appeared to be wearing a white shirt layered with a black jacket and sandals.

Sudewo appeared to be wearing a black hat but did not wear it and was escorted by a number of officers. He did not answer anything, including when asked about his arrival at the KPK.

Sudewo is known to have come to the KPK's Merah Putih building to be examined as a witness in the DJKA bribery case in 2025.

The Gerindra Party politician also did not answer anything when asked for a response to OTT and messages for Pati residents. Sudewo's presence was also noticed by a number of guests who were sitting in the lobby of the building.

Apart from Sudewo, there were three other people who entered with the accompaniment of officers through the front door of the building. However, the KPK has not provided information on the identity of the parties who were brought in during the activity.
