JAKARTA - The weather in the Jabodetabek area on Monday, January 19, is expected to be dominated by thick clouds with the potential for light to heavy rain in a number of areas. The public is asked to increase vigilance against the possibility of extreme weather.

In the early morning to morning (01.00-13.00 WIB), the weather conditions are generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain is potentially occurring in some areas of Tangerang Regency, Thousand Islands, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Bekasi Regency, and Bogor City.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain is likely to fall in some areas of Bogor Regency.

Entering the afternoon and evening (13.00-19.00 WIB), the potential for rain still continues. Light to moderate rain is predicted to hit most of DKI Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, and the Thousand Islands.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain is potentially occurring in Bogor City and Regency, Depok City, and Bekasi City and Regency.

In terms of air conditions, the temperature in Bogor City and Regency is estimated to be in the range of 20-28 degrees Celsius, while other areas of Jabodetabek range from 24-28 degrees Celsius. Air humidity is quite high, namely between 70-98 percent.

Surface winds are expected to blow from west to northwest at speeds of around 10-40 kilometers per hour.

The public is urged to be aware of the potential for rain that may be accompanied by lightning or thunder and strong winds that are likely to occur in most of the Jabodetabek area, especially during the day and in the afternoon.
