JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the investigation into another alleged corruption related to the implementation of the hajj was still ongoing. The search for criminal events continues.

"This is still in process, yes. Please pray that the investigation also goes well," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Friday, January 16.

Budi has not been able to detail the ongoing process. He said the KPK's investigation mechanism was indeed carried out in a closed manner.

The announcement will usually only be made when the case is in the investigation process. "We are still looking for the event of the speech, right," he said.

Likewise with the parties suspected of being involved. "We (find, ed) the incident first," explained Budi.

"Only later when it has entered the investigation, we will look for evidence to then, after the evidence is sufficient, fulfilled, we will set as a suspect," he continued.

The investigation into another alleged corruption related to the implementation of the hajj was initially conveyed by the acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu.

He once revealed that the practice of lancung was allegedly carried out at the Hajj Finance Management Agency (BPKH) but was separate from the corruption case in determining quotas and the implementation of the 2023-2024 hajj.

"Separately (from the Hajj case under investigation, ed)," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters when confirmed, Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Asep said that the investigation at BPKH was not yet complete so that there was not much information provided by the KPK.

"Then the question about the involvement of BPKH and others. Well, we are also (investigating, ed), but this has not yet been investigated, so it cannot be conveyed in detail," he told reporters, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Even so, Asep explained, this investigation will delve into a number of aspects related to the management or use of Hajj funds. Among them are related to accommodation or accommodation, catering to transportation for pilgrims from Indonesia.

"This is just information, cluenya only. Later we will also check his residence, accommodation, catering, and then also his transportation," he said.

"And there is also information related to the delivery of goods. Because our brothers who went on the hajj also sent goods and others," continued Asep, who also served as the Director of Investigation of the KPK.

Then, the KPK will investigate the bidding or auction process for facilities for pilgrims in the Holy Land. "Don't let the money provided here be big but it turns out that the winner of the auction will win the ugliest and the price is even higher. Some of them are going where, that's what we are investigating," said Asep.
