Prabowo Visits IKN, Prime Minister's Arrival as President

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, on Monday afternoon, in order to carry out a working visit.

President Prabowo's arrival at the Garuda Palace marked the start of his work agenda in the new capital after previously conducting a marathon visit in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan, and Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

Based on live footage from the Presidential Secretariat, the Super Puma helicopter carrying President Prabowo landed at the helipad, right in front of the IKN State Palace in the afternoon.

Upon arrival at the location, the President and his entourage were greeted by a number of IKN Authority officials, including the Head of the OKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono and a number of members of the Red and White Cabinet.

Present with the President were Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Foreign Minister Sugiyono, Minister PU Dody Hanggodo, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

The atmosphere in the area of the IKN State Palace was sterile with tight security from the Paspampres and Military Police.

After getting off the helicopter, President Prabowo, wearing his typical safari shirt, greeted the greeters before boarding the vehicle that had been prepared to take him to another location in IKN.

The visit to the IKN Palace is Prabowo Subianto's first agenda after being inaugurated as President of the Republic of Indonesia on October 20, 2024.

The President is also scheduled to hold a limited meeting at IKN with a number of members of the Red and White Cabinet tonight.

Before arriving at IKN, President Prabowo had completed two major agendas on the same day, namely inaugurating the Integrated People's School in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, and inaugurating the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) project at the Pertamina Refinery in Balikpapan.
