Dasco Contact Prabowo, Minister of Finance Emphasizes Aceh TKD 2026

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad on the sidelines of a coordination meeting for disaster handling in Banda Aceh, Saturday, January 11, had called President Prabowo Subianto and connected him to the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to ensure the Regional Transfer (TKD) budget for a number of areas in Aceh so that it is not cut.

The moment occurred when Purbaya explained the financial condition for disaster areas, and asked the area not to hesitate to use the existing budget.

He will also report this to Prabowo, but also ask Dasco to also help communicate it.

Then the meeting stopped for a moment when Dasco suddenly called Prabowo. Dasco immediately connected his cellphone to Purbaya so he could hear what Prabowo said.

"So it's clear, for this year your budget will be full like last year, it won't be cut," said Purbaya after hearing the phone, quoted by Antara.

He admitted that he had not had time to contact President Prabowo directly because he still had a busy agenda. However, he said, Prabowo had now agreed that the budget would not be cut.

"Mr. Chairman (Dasco) has called, and Mr. President said he agreed. We have calculated everything in terms of budget, it can be, there is no problem," said the Minister of Finance.

He admitted that on January 2, 2026, he had sent a budget for the provincial government and the district/city government in Aceh with a total of Rp. 1.2 trillion. This means, he said, the budget is no longer a problem for the areas affected by disasters in Aceh.

Meanwhile, Dasco conveyed the conclusion of the meeting that as of January 10, 2026, the post-Sumatra disaster recovery will be carried out by the Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force formed by the government, and will be led by the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

"So the Sumatra Disaster Recovery Task Force, the DPR will carry out functions in the fields of legislation, budgeting, supervision, and coordination," said Dasco.

In addition, he said that the Government and the DPR targeted all government wheels in all areas in Sumatra that were affected by the disaster could run normally before entering the month of Ramadan.

"And all affected areas have been touched gradually and can be maximized so that it can be completed and overcome before Lebaran," he said.
