Komika Pandji Pragiwaksono Reported to Polda Metro Jaya by Two NU and Muhammadiyah Youth Organizations

JAKARTA - Comedian and artist Pandji Pragiwaksono was reported to the Central Police Service Integrated Service (SPKT) of the Metro Jaya Police by two youth organizations, namely the Young Generation of Nahdlatul Ulama (AMNU) and the Young Alliance of Muhammadiyah.

The report was recorded with the number LP/B/166/I/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated January 8, 2026.

The Presidium of the Young Generation of Nahdlatul Ulama, Rizki Abdul Rahman Wahid, said the report was a follow-up to the unrest felt by NU and Muhammadiyah youth.

"We are reporting the person concerned because we think that the material presented is degrading, slanderous, and has the potential to cause commotion in the public space and divide the nation," Rizki told reporters at the Polda Metro Jaya.

He explained that the report was related to the alleged defamation of Pandji's material in the Mens Rea broadcast on one digital platform. The stand-up comedy material presented by Pandji was considered to contain elements of defamation and had the potential to cause a commotion in the public space.

"According to us, he has insulted, defamed, and tends to create a commotion in the public space and divide this nation," he said.

"That is a form of unrest, especially for us as the nation's children, Nahdliyin children, and colleagues from the Muhammadiyah Youth Alliance," continued Rizki.

Rizki emphasized that the report against Pandji Pragiwaksono had been officially received by the police.

"Alhamdulillah, the response from the Metro Jaya Police was very positive. Our report has been received and all the administration has been declared complete," he said.

Rizki hopes the police will immediately follow up on the report, including by summoning the accused for clarification.

"We hope that this report of alleged defamation can be processed immediately in accordance with applicable laws, including clarification and examination based on the evidence we have attached," he concluded.

Based on the report, Pandji Pragiwaksono is suspected of violating Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP), as referred to in Article 300 and/or Article 301 of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 242 and/or Article 243 of the Criminal Code.
