JATENG - The Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Ganjar Pranowo has proposed the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) to conduct hand-arrest operations (OTT) related to public services in this province.

This was revealed by Ganjar after receiving ORI Deputy Chairman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus at the governor's official residence, Friday, May 28.

"I propose that there is a public service OTT, so all those who are annoyed (want to win by themselves) and (at will) be arrested by ORI. The arrest is certainly not like the KPK OTT, which means that ORI can come, examine, and evaluate because they have rights," he said at Semarang was quoted from Antara.

According to Ganjar, the existence of public service OTT can be a trigger for every region and public officials to provide the best service to the community.

"One important thing is that districts / cities must improve public services, the commitment must be carried out. ASN and regional heads like me pay the people, if we carry out bad (services), ORI must act. We fully support ORI," he said.

During the meeting, which lasted quite a long time, many discussions were held, including corrections related to public services from ORI to the Central Java Provincial Government.

Ganjar said that public services are compulsory for public officials, civil servants, and regional heads so that all must obey the rules and have innovations.

Ganjar advised regional heads and all ASNs in Central Java not to be afraid of this because of the existence of ORI with its duties and responsibilities to provide guarantees and improvement of good public services to the community.

"Friends don't need to be afraid, if we discuss it, it can be improved. For example, the service should not be manual, so I say use social media to serve the public, not for hoaxes so that services can be faster. This is a way to do that," he said.

Deputy Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Bobby Hamzar Rafinus said what was conveyed by Ganjar regarding public service OTT was a good idea and would be discussed further at the leadership level at ORI.

"There are several ideas from the governor, his term is public service OTT. We will discuss it with the leadership because indeed as a new leader we are developing innovations. Public reports are increasing every day and they are required to quickly resolve it," he said.

Regarding efforts to resolve public reports, he said, ORI itself has made many innovations. One of them is receiving and verifying reports on the spot because through this method many reports have been successfully completed.
