BATAM - The Batam District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Riau Islands. Riau has not carried out the execution of the former Head of Narcotics Police of Barelang Police, Kompol Satria Nanda and his friends at the request of the cassation which was decided by the Supreme Court in October 2025.

Batam District Attorney's Intelligence Officer Priandi Firdaus said the basis for the execution was the receipt of a copy of the verdict from the Batam District Court.

"Not yet (executed), the copy of the decision has not been released," said Priandi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 7.

Priandi said that his party was still waiting for a copy of the decision from the Supreme Court to be able to carry out the execution of the cassation decision.

Separately, Batam District Court Spokesperson Vaviennes Stuart Wattimena said the parties needed to check first the copy of the cassation decision of Kompol Satria Nanda.

Wattimena confirmed that the execution process could not be carried out if the copy of the verdict was not received by the parties, including the defendants and the Prosecutor's Office.

"Later we will check again (the letter), if it has not been executed, it means that the copy has not been issued," he said.
