JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) or Jakpro urges the public to refer to official information before planning a visit to the Jakarta Planetarium. This appeal was made amid the high public interest in the Star Theater performance during the Christmas and New Year holidays 2025-2026.
Jakpro asks prospective visitors to follow the updates provided by the Jakarta Planetarium management through the official communication channel of Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), both regarding the schedule of performances, ticket purchase mechanism, and availability of quotas.
Head of SBU Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakpro, Anya Christina, said the surge in visits made the management implement a strict quota arrangement by considering the capacity of the space and safety standards.
"Information regarding the schedule of performances, ticket purchase mechanisms, and availability of quotas is updated periodically through the official social media of Taman Ismail Marzuki on the @tim.cikini account, accompanied by written information displayed in various corners of the TIM area and direct explanations from officers in the field," said Anya in her statement, Monday, January 5.
Jakpro also reminded the public to buy tickets only through the official channel, namely the Loket.com platform or official ticket booths available in the TIM area. This step is taken to prevent scalping practices and potential fraud that often arise amid the high enthusiasm of visitors.
In a day, the Planetarium Star Theater holds four performances. Currently, the ticket sales scheme is divided into a quota of 50 percent online sales and 50 percent direct purchase at the location.
"We understand the high enthusiasm of the public to visit the Jakarta Planetarium. Therefore, the quota management is carried out in a measured manner so that the experience of watching remains comfortable and safe," said Anya.
"The show is held 4 times a day and the quota distribution of 50 percent online and 50 percent on the spot has been implemented to ensure more fair and equitable access," he added.
Anya emphasized that the number of spectators in each session could not be increased beyond the quota that had been set because it was adjusted to the capacity of the Bintang Theater seats. The provisions, according to him, are directly related to aspects of safety, comfort, and the quality of visitors' educational experience.
Since it was reopened and inaugurated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta on December 23, 2025, the Jakarta Planetarium has again become one of the educational tourist destinations that are crowded. Thousands of visitors have watched the Star Theater performance, with tickets often sold out both online and directly at the location.
