JAKARTA - Indonesia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the importance of respecting the legitimate Government of Yemen and its territorial integrity.
It was conveyed in a post on the ministry's social media, following the development of the situation in Yemen.
The Saudi-led coalition reportedly launched an air strike on the Al Mukalla Port in the eastern part of Yemen with the main target being military supplies said to have come from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for local separatist groups.
"Indonesia continues to closely follow the latest developments in the Republic of Yemen and appreciates the continued efforts of the parties concerned to maintain stability and security, especially in the Hadramout and Al-Mahra regions," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on social media X, as quoted (31/12).
"Indonesia reiterates its call on all parties to refrain from and avoid unilateral actions that could impact the security situation," the ministry added.

Previously, the political organization of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) of Yemen reportedly carried out a unilateral military movement and made territorial advances in the eastern governorates of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah, quoted from Antara.
The actions taken by the STC have increased tensions and threatened the security environment in the country.
Later, the Arab coalition supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government warned that any military action that undermines de-escalation efforts in Yemen will be immediately taken to protect civilians.
Hadramout in southern Yemen is controlled by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) rebels and is considered by many to have been the alleged murder, kidnapping, or unlawful acts in the area.
The STC rebels have also ousted the internationally recognized government in Aden, while claiming wide control over all of southern Yemen this month.
This month, Saudi Arabia has also asked the STC forces to withdraw from the areas they seized in Hadramout and Mahra. However, the STC has confirmed its refusal of the Yemeni government's request to withdraw its forces from the two oil-rich regions.
This week, the Saudi-led coalition launched an attack targeting weapons and military equipment that was dismantled from two ships that arrived at the Yemeni port.
The coalition, quoted by Sputnik, accused the UAE of sending the military supplies to support the Southern Transitional Council (STC) separatist group, which has been involved in armed conflict with the Yemeni government.
The escalation came after the STC separatist group took over a number of government institutions as well as the airport in Hadhramaut Province, following a conflict with a local tribal group triggered by a dispute over the control of oil resources.
In early December, forces affiliated with southern separatists also reportedly seized control of the Al Masilah oilfield owned by the PetroMasila company after clashes with forces of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance which had guarded the area for more than a year.
The clash resulted in at least 12 casualties and injuries from both sides.
"Indonesia again emphasizes the importance of a peaceful settlement through inclusive and comprehensive political dialogue under the coordination of the United Nations, while respecting the legitimate government of Yemen and its territorial integrity," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
