SAMARINDA - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) ensures that the realization of physical development for the judicial, legislative, and office complex areas will be carried out simultaneously in December 2025 through a multiple-year contract scheme worth Rp. 20 trillion.

"In the middle of the year, the auction for the construction of the judiciary and legislature has been successful and multi-year contracts for the period 2025, 2026, and 2027 have been signed," said Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono, in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Wednesday, December 31, reported by ANTARA.

He explained that connectivity in the field is now showing progress, because the connecting roads of all the Central Government Core Areas (KIPP) Segments 1A, 1B, and 1C to the main toll road access have almost 100 percent completed by the end of this year.

The availability of adequate road access has triggered the acceleration of the physical realization of private investment in the surrounding area, evidenced by the almost completed Sabdi Waluya Hospital building and Taruna Nusantara High School which is ready to operate partially starting March 2026.

"The government is now actively urging the State-Owned Bank Association or Himbara, which last year only held a ceremony for laying the first stone, to immediately enter the construction phase of the building so that the business area can be formed immediately," said Basuki.

All the massive construction activities in 2025 are ensured by his party not only relying on state funds, but using a combination of financing between the State Budget, Government and Business Cooperation (KPBU), and pure private investment.

Support for basic infrastructure for the convenience of residents, is also being strengthened by the government through the signing of a new contract for the construction of 24 additional ponds to maintain the supply of raw water as well as flood control.

"The construction phase is regulated in stages by the government, where government infrastructure work is rushed at the end of this year, while the construction of new residential sectors is scheduled to start running effectively in 2026," said Basuki.

Acceleration of the physical development of various state facilities plays a crucial role in meeting the target of Presidential Regulation Number 79 of 2025 which stipulates that Nusantara must be ready to function fully as the political capital of Indonesia in 2028.

"Overall, all construction roadmaps and physical achievement targets that are currently running in the field are still considered to be within the right corridor and in accordance with the government's initial planning for the development of the new capital city," said Basuki.
