JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that there was a difference in the delivery of the 2025 National Police Year-End Reflection (RAT) compared to previous years. According to him, the concept of this year's delivery was deliberately made different by involving the main officials of the National Police Headquarters.
The National Police Chief explained that in previous years, the report on the performance of the National Police for one year was submitted in a sequential manner directly by the National Police Chief, then in 2025 the presentation was made collectively by a number of senior officials representing their respective fields.
"This year's release is deliberately made a little different. If some time ago we have successively reported and conveyed the journey of the National Police for one year, but this time we have involved several key officials to explain the activities of the National Police transformation," he said at the End of Year Reflection (RAT) 2025 event held at the Rupatama Building of the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
He said that the presentation included the transformation of the National Police in various fields, ranging from operations, human resources and education and training, public services, law enforcement, to internal oversight.
According to the National Police Chief, this concept reflects the cohesiveness and internal solidity of the National Police in carrying out its duties and the institutional reform agenda.
"This contains the meaning that we, the personnel of the National Police, are solid, compact, and consistent in continuing to close ranks and maintain a common step in making continuous improvements," he said.
On this occasion, the National Police Chief also explained the development of the global strategic environment which was considered to have a negative impact on the world's economic and security stability, ranging from food and energy crises, rising commodity prices, logistics disruptions, to stagnant economic growth and global inflation.
However, Listyo said Indonesia was able to maintain the stability of the national economy amid global pressure. Indonesia's economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 was recorded at 5.04 percent. The trade balance in November 2025 recorded a surplus of US$ 2.8 billion or a surplus for 67 consecutive months.
"Our foreign exchange reserves in November amounted to 150.1 billion US dollars. National inflation was maintained at 2.72 percent, within the range of 1.5 percent to 3.5 percent. In addition, the realization of investment in the third quarter reached Rp. 1,434.3 trillion or 75.3 percent of the 2025 target. Indonesia's export value was recorded at 24.23 billion US dollars, while imports were at 21.84 billion US dollars," he explained.
Listyo also touched on Indonesia's active role in the international arena through diplomacy to maintain world peace. A number of international forums were attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia throughout 2025, including the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Peace Summit in Egypt, to the ASEAN-United States Summit.
On the other hand, Indonesia has strengthened its global position through full membership of BRICS since January 2025, participation in the APEC Summit 2025, as well as strengthening bilateral relations with various countries which resulted in investment commitments of more than IDR 1,000 trillion.
"The relationship with the European Union, which is listed as Indonesia's fifth largest investor in 2024, on September 22, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Indonesia and the European Union which opens up room for increasing Indonesian exports to Europe, especially for palm oil and textile commodities," he explained.
Due to these various achievements, a number of international institutions have noted an improvement in Indonesia's position. The World Competitiveness Ranking 2025 places Indonesia in 24th place out of 69 countries, surpassing a number of developed countries. Meanwhile, the Lowy Institute survey places Indonesia as the country with the number one diplomatic influence in ASEAN and the top five in the world.
Listyo emphasized that this achievement was inseparable from the role of the National Police in maintaining security stability and public order. This is reflected in the positive trend of public confidence in the National Police, both based on international and national surveys.
