JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) ensures the continuation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program in the midst of a series of floods and landslides that have hit a number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"The distribution of the MBG Program continues as usual on active days. The total accumulated assistance for Aceh that has been distributed has reached more than 2.2 million servings," said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana in a statement reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 29.

In Aceh, a total of 158 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) or MBG kitchens have been involved in the service transfer process during the emergency response period, with a total of 2,298,670 meals distributed since November 26 to December 27, 2025.

Dadan explained that there were two days where the SPPG was not operating, namely on December 25-26. The temporary suspension was carried out in conjunction with the Christmas celebration and in commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the Aceh tsunami.

However, a number of SPPG in East Aceh and Central Aceh decided to continue to carry out the distribution of MBG on December 26-27. BGN ensures that MBG assistance continues to be distributed to affected residents through various schemes.

"We continue to distribute assistance to flood and landslide victims, both through the post and pick up the ball directly to the residents," said Dadan.

He said that the presence of BGN consistently in the midst of an emergency situation is a form of the state's commitment to ensure that the nutritional needs of the community are maintained, while strengthening the role of MBG as a program that is adaptive to the conditions of the crisis.
