OKU - A total of nine prospective pilgrims from Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU), South Sumatra, have not paid the first phase of the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) due to system failure.
"Of the 161 disabled Hajj candidates who will be sent to the Holy Land of Mecca in the 2026 Hajj season, it is recorded that nine of them have not paid the BPIH," said Head of the Disabled Hajj Ministry Office (Kemenhaj), Abdul Muis in Baturaja, Antara, Sunday, December 28.
He explained that the nine prospective pilgrims were hampered by system disruptions when making payments until the last day of implementation on December 23, 2025.
The Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System (SISKOHAT) application experienced an error, so that the prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) failed to make payments on time.
According to him, this problem not only occurs in OKU Regency, but is also experienced nationally in a number of areas.
As a solution, he said, JCH that has not been facilitated in the first phase will be directed to follow the second phase of BPIH repayment.
"The delayed JCH will be submitted for the second phase of payment," he said.
He added that currently his party is also preparing as many as 119 reserve hajj candidates to fill the vacancy if there are regular JCH who do not pay the cost of the hajj.
The candidate for the reserve hajj pilgrims is ready in terms of documents and most of them have paid the hajj fee, so that if they are needed at any time they are ready and just need to be sent out.
For JCH who are on the reserve list, they are given the opportunity to undergo a series of health examinations at local hospitals.
"This is done to make it easier for pilgrims if they are ready to be sent on their departure list at any time," he said.
