Welcome to the surge of tourists in Nataru, Ragunan presents animal attractions to prepare for the engineering of the road

Ragunan Wildlife Park is ready to provide animal attractions during the Nataru holiday (VOI/Diah Ayu Wardani).

JAKARTA - Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR) is preparing a number of strategic steps to welcome the surge in visitors during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) holidays. Starting from strengthening security, adding animal attractions, to traffic engineering is prepared to ensure the comfort and safety of tourists.

Head of the Ragunan Wildlife Park Management Unit, Endah Rumiyati, said that all preparations were carried out through internal and external coordination to anticipate an increase in the number of visitors during the year-end holiday period.

"We have coordinated internally and externally to anticipate a surge in visitors during the Christmas and New Year holidays," Endah said in an official statement, Thursday, December 25, 2025.

At this year's Nataru moment, Ragunan carries the theme "Save Animals, Save Earth's Life". The theme is in line with the spirit of Christmas as well as the commitment to animal conservation that emphasizes the sustainability of nature and environmental sustainability.

To support the service, continued Endah, TMR deployed as many as 694 officers who will be on alert at various points. In terms of security, Ragunan received support from across agencies, namely 60 personnel from the National Police, 40 personnel from the TNI, 15 personnel from the Satpol PP, 15 personnel from the Transportation Service, as well as support from the Health Service and the Fire Service with six personnel.

In addition to security, Ragunan also presents a wildlife attraction titled Feeding Animal with Christmas and New Year's Eve vibes. This activity is held at a number of visitor favorite locations.

"Like the Schmutzer Primate Center, the giraffe enclosure, Sumatran tigers, kudanil, pelican birds, Sumatran elephants, to estuarine crocodiles," he said.

On the other hand, to anticipate vehicle density, Ragunan has prepared more than 10 parking points within the area. The arrangement of the entry and exit of vehicles has also been arranged to minimize the potential for contraflow.

"Traffic engineering in the form of a system of opening and closing and diverting traffic will be applied if there is a vehicle stagnation," said Endah.

Ragunan management also appealed to the public to use public transportation when visiting to reduce traffic density to the tourist area.
