Puan Hopes Christmas Spirit 2025 Will Strengthen National Solidarity

JAKARTA - House of Representatives (DPR) Chairwoman Puan Maharani has congratulated Christians throughout Indonesia on Christmas 2025. He hopes that this year's Christmas spirit can strengthen national solidarity in the midst of the disaster test that hit the archipelago.

"Happy Christmas to Christians in Indonesia. May this Christmas celebration further build the spirit of solidarity among people of different faiths," said Puan in his statement, Wednesday, December 24.

Puan also hopes that Christians in the country can commemorate the birthday of Isa Al-Masih with devotion.

"Hopefully, the worship and celebration of Christmas can run smoothly throughout the country, and hopefully the joy of Christmas can further strengthen the sense of brotherhood," he continued.

In particular, Puan hopes that Christians who are victims of disasters can still celebrate Christmas even though it is limited. He prayed that the Christmas spirit would be able to comfort those who are grieving.

"Let the spirit of Christmas remind us that hope always comes even in the midst of difficult circumstances," said Puan.

"I pray that the joy of Christmas will bring peace to all Christians, especially for our brothers and sisters who are in need and grieving. Let's build a spirit of love for one another," he said.
