JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia handed over cash worth Rp6,625,294,190,469.74 or Rp6.6 trillion, the result of confiscation related to the Results of the Re-Possession of Phase V Forest Areas. The handover was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday 2024.

The handover was carried out in the agenda of the Submission of the Report on the Achievement of the Re-Possession of 4 Million Hectare of Forest Area, the results of the enforcement of conservation forest areas, the results of the re-possession of Phase V, the results of the collection of administrative fines of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH), and the results of saving the state's finances.

This activity took place at the State Attorney General's Office Building, Jakarta.

On this occasion, the Attorney General's Office conveyed that today three main agendas had been carried out, namely:

1. Submission of the results of the re-possession of Phase V forest areas with a total area of 896,969.143 hectares;

2. The submission of money from the collection of administrative fines by the PKH Task Force in the amount of Rp. 2,344,965,750,000; and

3. The submission of money from the recovery of state finances from the handling of corruption cases by the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia in the amount of Rp. 4,280,328,440,469.74.

Thus, the total value of money handed over to the state reached Rp6.62 quadrillion.

In a period of 10 months, the PKH Task Force has recorded significant achievements in efforts to control and regain control of forest areas in Indonesia.

The achievement includes:

• Retaking 4,081,560.58 hectares of plantation land, or more than 400 percent of the target set. The indicative value of the land that has been successfully recaptured is estimated to be more than Rp. 150 trillion;

• The handover of forest land resulting from the re-possession to the relevant ministries with a total area of 2,482,220.343 hectares, with details:

• 1,708,033.583 hectares of oil palm plantation land were handed over for management to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara;

• 688,427 hectares were handed over to the relevant ministries to be restored as conservation forest areas;

• 81,793 hectares were handed over to the relevant ministries for reforestation, which is part of the Tesso Nilo National Park area.

The money is planned to be handed over by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. The handover will be witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

The number of officials who attended the event, including the Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, the Head of the Investment Management Agency who also served as CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, and the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah.
