DENPASAR - The Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov) has set the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and the Provincial Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSP) for 2026.

Bali Governor Wayan Koster said that following up on Constitutional Court (MK) Decision Number 168/PUU-XXI/2023, the central government issued a policy on minimum wage regulation by issuing Government Regulation (PP) number 49, 2025 on the second amendment to Government Regulation (PP) number 36, 2021 on wages.

The Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov) subsequently carried out the process of determining the UMP and UMSP for 2026 through the Bali Provincial Wage Council meeting on Thursday (18/12). In the meeting, the Bali Provincial Wage Council consists of government elements, academics or experts, employers' organizations, and trade union or labor union organizations.

"And, it has agreed to recommend the value of the Bali UMP, in 2026, at Rp. 3,207,459.00 or an increase of 7.04 percent from the Bali UMP in 2025," said Koster in a written statement, Tuesday, December 23.

Through a constructive and dynamic negotiation process, the Bali Provincial Wage Board also recommends the value of the Bali UMSP in 2026 in the tourism sector in the provision of accommodation and food and beverage providers with hotel star derivatives according to the Indonesian business field classification code, 2020 letter I of Rp. 3,267,693.00 or an increase of 7.04 percent from the Bali UMSP in 2025.
