JAKARTA - A motorcyclist became a victim of persecution after reprimanding a man who hit him on Jalan Bangka Raya, Mampang, South Jakarta. The incident occurred on Saturday night, December 20, 2025, and is currently being handled by the police.

Mampang Police Chief, Kompol Wahid Key, confirmed the report of the abuse. According to him, the victim immediately reported the incident shortly after the incident occurred.

"The persecution that occurred on the road was reported on Sunday night," Wahid said when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Wahid explained that the incident began when the victim was riding a motorcycle, then was hit from behind by the perpetrator. The two had a collision while crossing the road.

"We received a report from the victim. At the time of the incident, the victim's vehicle and the perpetrator collided," he said.

Feeling aggrieved, the victim then reprimanded the perpetrator. However, the reprimand triggered the emotion. The perpetrator was allegedly aggressive, leading to acts of violence.

"After a scuffle, the perpetrator hit and kicked the victim," said Wahid.

As a result of the persecution, the victim suffered a number of injuries. The police immediately carried out an in-depth investigation by examining witnesses who were at the scene.

"Currently, we are still investigating the statements of three to four witnesses," he concluded.

Previously, the video of the persecution incident went viral on the Instagram social media. In the circulating footage, the victim was seen being abused after reprimanding the perpetrator who hit him.

The incident occurred on Jalan Bangka Raya, Pela Mampang Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta. The victim hopes that the perpetrator will be immediately arrested and processed according to applicable laws.
