President Prabowo Appoints 6 Indonesian Ambassadors including Musician Rediyanto Heru Nurcahyo

President Prabowo Subianto appointed six extraordinary and fully empowered ambassadors (LBBP) of the Republic of Indonesia to be stationed in Algeria, Papua New Guinea, North Korea, Slovakia, Thailand, and Japan in a swearing-in ceremony at the State Palace, Jakarta.

Of the six ambassadors who were inaugurated, four of them were career diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one was a retired general of the Indonesian Army, and the other was a musician.

The inauguration of the six ambassadors was stipulated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) RI Number 133 P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors (LBPP) of the Republic of Indonesia which was signed by President Prabowo on Thursday (18/12).

Four Ministry of Foreign Affairs diplomats who were inaugurated by the President, namely Yusron Bahauddin Ambary as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Algeria, then Okto Dorinus Manik as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, Hari Prabowo as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), and Nurmala Kartini Pandjaitan Sjahrir as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan and the Federated States of Micronesia.

Then, Gina Yoginda, who is a retired two-star general of the TNI, was appointed by President Prabowo as the RI Ambassador to North Korea.

Finally, Rediyanto Heru Nurcahyo, who has a background as a musician, was also appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Slovak Republic.

Gina Yoginda previously served as Deputy Head of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) TNIdan the Indonesian Ambassador to Afghanistan.

In the procession, which took place after the inauguration of members of the Indonesian Republic Judicial Commission (KY), President Prabowo led the oath-taking of six RI ambassadors at the State Palace.

"That I, to be appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, will uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945 and will carry out all laws and regulations in the most straightforward manner for my service to the nation and the state. That I, in carrying out my duties, will uphold the ethics of the post, work as best as possible, with a sense of responsibility," said the oath of office, which was led by President Prabowo.

"I, in carrying out my duties: After taking the oath, each of the newly appointed ambassadors signed the appointment record with President Prabowo. Then, the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, was played at the State Palace.

"I, in carrying out my duties: After that, President Prabowo greeted one by one the newly appointed officials, followed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Rakadan, the Red and White Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and heads of state institutions.

In the inauguration ceremony at the State Palace this afternoon, the state officials who attended, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and TNI Commander General TNI Agus Subiyanto.
