Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Juang, the KSAD reminds the TNI AD and the People of the Unrest

CIMAHI - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak reminded all TNI AD soldiers to always fight together with the people as a form of fighting spirit and solidarity which is the main foundation in maintaining sovereignty and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"In essence, soldiers who come from the people will continue to fight with the people as a potential defense force in upholding the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia," said Maruli while leading the 80th anniversary of the TNI Army Juang Day at the Brigif 15/Kujang Field, Cimahi, West Java, Antara, Tuesday, December 16.

Maruli emphasized that the fighting spirit and the sense of belonging of the TNI AD with the people are historical values that have taken root since the independence struggle.

"This value, he said, is reflected in the heroic actions of the fighters in the Palagan Ambarawa battle which occurred exactly 80 years ago and became a milestone in the birth of the TNI AD Juang Day.

In his message, Maruli also invited all soldiers to emulate the leadership of the Great Commander General Sudirman, who is known as an integrity leader, a clean soul, and an expert in leading the struggle to seize and defend Indonesian independence.

"General Sudirman is an exemplary figure who presents the purity of the soul, integrity, and spirit of struggle, so that he becomes an inspiring figure in commemorating the TNI AD Juang Day," he said.

Although Indonesia is no longer in a state of war, Maruli emphasized that the spirit of struggle must continue to be realized in the form of real service to the community. He said that the TNI AD is currently fighting with the people through various strategic programs, such as strengthening food security through the rice paddies program and the development of water sources in various regions.
