JAKARTA - The Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) decided that in the context of ethical enforcement, Constitutional Justice Arsul Sani was not proven to have falsified his doctoral education diploma as was the issue that recently surfaced.
The verdict was pronounced at a hearing in Jakarta, Thursday, after the MKMK held a clarification meeting on October 20, 2025 following the findings registered by the MKMK Secretariat on November 7.

In considering the law and ethics of the decision, MKMK Secretary Ridwan Mansyur said the MKMK did not have the capacity to assess and decide the validity and authenticity of Arsul Sani's doctoral diploma.

On the other hand, MKMK member Yuliandri explained that his party found the fact that during the doctoral education process, Arsul had submitted his dissertation research.
The Honorary Council also found evidence of a correspondence of guidance through Arsul and his supervisors.
"The Honorary Assembly did not find enough evidence to doubt the research process carried out by the suspect judge in order to meet the graduation requirements for a doctorate from the Collagium Humanum that he had done properly and properly," said Yuliandri.
