Gibran Urges MBG Car To Collis Dozens Of Elementary School Students In Cilincing To Be Completely Investigated

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked for the incident of a car accident with the identity of Free Nutrition Food (MBG) at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta, to be thoroughly investigated.

"I have also requested that a thorough investigation, law enforcement, and a thorough evaluation be carried out so that similar incidents do not happen again," said the Vice President in an official statement issued by the Vice Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, Thursday, was confiscated by Antara.

In his statement, the Vice President expressed his deep apologies and concern over the MBG car accident that occurred this morning.

"On behalf of the government, I apologize profusely and regret this incident. This incident must not be repeated," he said.

The incident resulted in 21 injuries. Five people were treated at the Koja Hospital consisting of one teacher and four students, while 16 other victims were at the Cilincing Hospital.

The Vice President stated the importance of ensuring that all victims get the best medical treatment.

"I encourage maximum medical treatment for the victims, as well as assistance and trauma healing for students and teachers at SDN Kalibaru 01," he said.

Polda Metro Jaya has examined the driver and kernet minibus involved in an accident at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing.

The police will then ask for statements from teachers and other witnesses, while prioritizing the recovery of the condition of the victims. The Ditreskrimum team has also conducted a crime scene investigation.

The accident occurred when the MBG food delivery minibus driven by a substitute driver with the initials AI had a brake problem in the incline area.

AI thought it was hitting the brakes, but instead pressed the gas pedal. Further checks, including driver urine tests, are still ongoing.
