Declaration Of Loyalty To The Republic Of Indonesia, 7 NII Factions In West Java Revoke Baiat Simultaneously

JAKARTA - A total of seven factions of the Islamic State of Indonesia (NII) in the West Java (West Java) region simultaneously carry out the withdrawal of allegiance and a loyal declaration to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

The event was held on the strategic collaboration of the Densus 88 Anti-terror Police, West Java Police, and the Provincial Government of West Java.

Deputy Head of Densus 88 AT Polri Brigadier General Police I Made Astawa emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the nation and rejecting ideological extremism that is not in accordance with Pancasila.

"I am sure that all of my friends here remain with the Republic of Indonesia. We are all keeping building for the sake of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of West Java Herman Suryatman appreciated the former members of NII who declared allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia.

"We appreciate the courage of former NII members who openly chose to leave the old teachings and return to national values," he said.

He also emphasized the commitment of the West Java Provincial Government to support the reintegration of former NII members through a sustainable coaching approach.

The series of events began by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya.

The peak of the event was marked by the reading of the declaration of withdrawal of allegiance by representatives of factions attended by all participants.

Then, it was followed by the signing of a statement letter and a procession of respect for the flag and the smell of the Red and White. This moment became a strong symbol of the return of the participants into the fold of the Republic of Indonesia.
