Yusril: President Prabowo Returns To Visit Aceh After Foreign Visits

BANDA ACEH - Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections (Menko Kumham Imipas) Yusril Ihza Mahendra said President Prabowo Subianto would return to visit Aceh, which was hit by floods and landslides after his trip abroad.

"I received information that the president returned to Aceh," said Yusril Ihza Mahendra, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, December 10, as reported by ANTARA.

Yusril made this statement after symbolically handing over humanitarian assistance to victims affected by the disaster to the Aceh Government, at the Secretariat of Komnas HAM Aceh Representative, Banda Aceh.

President Prabowo Subianto has visited Aceh twice after the flood and landslide disaster, first to Southeast Aceh, then to Bireuen.

The President also held a limited meeting in Aceh. After that, the president left for Pakistan, and today arrived in Moscow Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin.

Later, said Yusril, the presidential plane will land in North Sumatra, and continue its journey to Aceh. However, it is not yet known which district the president visited.

Yusril said the central government paid special attention to hydrometeorological disasters in three provinces in Sumatra, including Aceh. Therefore, the president will return to visit the land of rencong.

Where, the government wants to immediately restore, deal with victims affected by the disaster in Aceh, including for house repairs and other facilities.

"The central government's concern for this disaster is enormous," said Yusril Ihza Mahendra.

In addition to handing over aid, at the Komnas HAM Aceh Secretariat, Yusril together with elements of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission also carried out joint prayers and hidden prayers for the victims of the Aceh disaster.

This activity was part of the commemoration of World Human Rights Day on December 10, 2025, which was previously planned with various discussions, but because Aceh was being hit by a disaster, the event was turned into a common prayer, a hidden prayer and a handover of aid.

"Today we commemorate World Human Rights Day, events are changed from discussion activities to prayer together, hidden prayers and delivery of aid," said Yusril.
