SAMARINDA - The Samarinda District Attorney (Kejari) has detained three former administrators of the local Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) related to the alleged corruption of the Samarinda City Government (Pemkot) grant fund for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Head of the Intelligence Section of the Samarinda District Attorney's Office, Bara Mantio Irsahara, explained that the three suspects had the initials AN, HN, and AZ. All three were detained from December 9, 2025, for the next 20 days.
"AN is the general chairman of KONI Samarinda City in 2019-2020. HN as deputy chairman in 2019 and treasurer of KONI in 2020. Meanwhile, AZ is the treasurer of KONI in 2019," Bara said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 9.
He explained that based on the results of an audit by the East Kalimantan Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), state financial losses due to this case reached around Rp. 2.13 billion.
"The total criminal act of corruption in the Samarinda City Government grant funds to the Samarinda City KONI in 2019-2020, the loss is approximately Rp. 2.13 billion," said Bara.
In the investigation process, the Prosecutor's Office managed to secure a case replacement money of Rp. 5 million.
The three of them were charged with multiple articles, namely Article 2 subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001. They are also subject to Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
Bara said the case file has now entered phase I and is just waiting for the administrative finalization.
