YOGYAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said corrupt behavior had a devastating impact on society. Natural disasters to problematic policies can arise as a result of fraudulent practices to provide benefits.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rochahyanto in Bincang Asik Build Integrity (Bisik) which was held by the Directorate of KPK Education Networking at the University of Janabandra Yogyakarta, Monday, December 8. This activity is a series of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) events which are commemorated every December 9.

"The corrupt behavior has a devastating impact. Many natural disasters and policy issues that we face today cannot be separated from the corrupt behavior behind it," said Fitroh, quoted on Wednesday, December 9.

This condition made the KPK feel that anti-corruption education was the bastion of behavior change. "Action is only one part because there is a trident: education, prevention, prosecution," said the former Director of Prosecution of the KPK.

In the future, Fitroh ensures that the KPK will continue to strengthen collaboration to encourage an effective anti-corruption education system. "Including through strengthening the curriculum, increasing the capacity of lecturers, and expanding academic networks," he said.

This strengthening is important because the implementation of anti-corruption education, especially in the campus area, is not uniform and evenly distributed and there are no assessment standard indicators. This finding was obtained from the results of the initial evaluation.

"We want the public to see that the KPK not only arrests people, but also campaigns for the impact of corruption and strengthens the anti-corruption education system."

The Limit Bisik presents a number of resource persons from various universities, such as Prof. Dr. Sumaryati from Ahmad Dahlan University; Dr. Arqom Kuswanjono from the All-Institutional Association and Lecturers of the Constitutional Court throughout Indonesia. Also present was the Director of the KPK Education Network Dian Novianthi.

Then, 20 universities that manage Curriculum Compulsory Lectures (MKWK) such as UGM, UNY, UY, UAD, UII, USD, ISI Yogyakarta, and others were also present in this activity.
