Setyo Budiyanto Doesn't Have A Problem With KPK Investigators Being Examined By The Council Regarding Bobby Nasution

YOGYAKARTA Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto emphasized that he did not question the summoning of investigators and prosecutors who handled the bribery case for road projects in North Sumatra Province by the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas).

The summons was made to follow up on reports of alleged efforts to hinder the summoning of North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution in the case. Setyo invited the KPK Council to carry out its duties according to their authority.

"There is no problem. That's a process, yes. It's called a process because maybe there are people who report it, people who consider it a complaint, a complement, etc. Go ahead, let's process it," Setyo told reporters at the Fort Vredeburg Museum area, Yogyakarta, Monday, December 8.

Setyo believes that the clarification process will definitely go according to the procedure. We will also respond in accordance with the responsibility of the investigators. We'll just have to wait for the results," he said.

He added that the results of the KPK Council examination would provide the necessary explanation. "Later, the explanation will be from the results of the clarification made by the KPK Council. Everything can be seen," continued Setyo, who previously served as Director of KPK Investigation.

Previously, the Indonesian Student Activist Coalition (KAMI) reported that one of the Heads of the KPK Task Force, AKBP Rossa Purba Bekti, for allegedly hampering the investigation into the involvement of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Bobby Nasution, in the bribery case of a road project in North Sumatra. The report was made on Monday, November 17.

"There are allegations of obstruction by one of the Head of the KPK Task Force on behalf of AKBP Rossa Purba Bekti," said our representative, Yusril, at the ACLC Building or the KPK Council Office, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

Yusril said that his party asked the KPK to conduct a thorough evaluation and internal audit. He considered that the Dewas' examination of Rossa was the right step considering a number of indications related to the case.

"Our Secretary, Usman, also highlighted that Bobby Nasution has not been summoned until now. But until today the KPK has not summoned Bobby Nasution himself," he said.
