Semarang City Goods And Services Procurement Work Unit Wins National Level Proactive Award

SEMARANG - Semarang City Government's Goods/Services Procurement Work Unit (UKPBJ) officially received a national level award for Level 3 Maturity (Proactive) achievements in the UKPBJ Maturity Level Assessment organized by the Government Government of Indonesia Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP RI). The awarding event took place at the Patra Hotel Semarang & Convention, Wednesday (3/12).

The award was received by the Acting (Pj.) Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Semarang City, Budi Prakosa, who was present representing the Mayor of Semarang, Agustina Wilujeng. This Proactive Level Award is an official recognition from LKPP to UKPBJ which has reached the level of 'independent' and is able to make continuous improvements' and obtain the status of UKPBJ with Good Provision (Proactive).

"This award is a symbol of the success and serious commitment of the Semarang City Government in building transparent, efficient, and accountable procurement governance," said Agustina.

The achievement of Proactive Levels shows that Semarang City UKPBJ has met 9 assessment variables which include four main domains: Institutional, Human Resources (HR), Process, and Information Systems. This proves that UKPBJ has routinely improved the quality of the procurement process, as well as effectively utilized data, technology, and risk management.

"We are grateful for this recognition. However, the Proactive Level is the starting point for further development to continue to innovate, increase capabilities, and open opportunities for higher maturity, such as the Center for the Excellence of Goods/Services Procurement (PKP-BJ)," continued Agustina.

For this achievement, the Semarang City UKPBJ has a great opportunity to be included in the national list compiled by LKPP, such as the National PBJ Maturity Map and the Presidential UKPBJ List, as well as having the opportunity to be nominated in national events, such as the PBJ Innovation Award and PBJ Performance Ranking.

"I thank the entire Semarang City UKPBJ team for their dedication and hard work. This achievement is a motivation for us to continue to strengthen the procurement system, so that public services are more excellent and city development runs optimally," concluded Agustina.

The success of the Semarang City Government in winning the level 3 maturity award or proactively also improves the Goods and Services Procurement Governance Index (ITKP). ITKP itself is an indicator used to assess and improve professionalism, efficiency, efficiency, transparency, fairness, competition and accountability for the procurement of goods and services as well as being one of the assessments in bureaucratic Reform and measuring governance with its indicators of qualifications and competence of PBJ human resources, the level of maturity of UKPBJ, and the utilization of the system.
