FWK Initiates National Movement To Strengthen Media Ideology

BOGOR The Central National Journalists Forum (FWK) emphasized strategic steps to strengthen national ideology in the mass media. FWK assesses that the ideological foundation in the news space is still weak and needs to be clarified so that the media adheres to national interests.

"FWK will continue to campaign for national ideology for journalists, so that the media has a strong ideology," said FWK founder Hendry Ch. Bangun, at the FWK Pre-Congres meeting in Bogor, Saturday, November 29.

Hendry emphasized that FWK's steps are in line with the organizational vision that places the nation's sovereignty and commitment to the Republic of Indonesia as the main foundation. Independent, but nationally-minded," he said.

The former chairman of the Central PWI said that his long experience as a sports journalist made him understand firsthand how nationalism was tested when covering matches involving the Indonesian team. "At the stadium, the tension felt clear," he said.

The meeting was chaired by the National Coordinator of FWK Raja Parlindungan Pane, and was moderated by the Chairman of the Pre-Congress Committee Dr. Budi Nugraha. A number of senior journalists were present, including Otavianus, Untung Kurniadi, AR Loebis, Sayid Iskandarsyah, Rita Sri Hastuti, Mohammad Nasir, Herwan Pebriansyah, Dadang Rachmat, Edi Kuswanto, Abdulillah Pahresi, Berman Nainggolan L Radja, Herry Sinamarata, and Rudy Sitompul.

Untung Kurniadi membaskan FWK memperluas ruang kampanye ideologi melalui diskusi kebangsaan dan produksi podcast. Tokoh di dalam dan luar FWK bisa diperintah, ujarnya.

Hendry emphasized that FWK spoke based on data. Raja added that FWK will cooperate with campus research institutions and strengthen networks by forming representatives in the regions so that discussions are more comprehensive.
